The Itinerary
our day
Pickup in Luxor Your guide will meet you at your Luxor hotel or Nile cruise and you'll travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle to the West Bank.
Valley of the Kings Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the famous royal necropolis of the New Kingdom, a period generally dated to around 1550–1069 BC. Many of Egypt's New Kingdom rulers were buried here. You will visit the tombs included with your entrance ticket and learn about the burial traditions, decoration, and history of the pharaohs who were buried in the valley. One of the best-known tombs is Tutankhamun's tomb (KV62). Tutankhamun ruled during the 18th Dynasty, around 1336–1327 BC, and his tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1922.

Temple of Hatshepsut Continue to Hatshepsut Temple at Deir al-Bahari. Queen Hatshepsut ruled Egypt around 1473–1458 BC, and her temple was designed by Senenmut. The monument rises in three main terraces against the cliffs of Deir al-Bahari. Egyptian Monuments Your guide will explain the story of Hatshepsut and the purpose of her mortuary temple before you continue to the next stop.
